Encounter City Kids Online

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.[Matthew 5:14-16]

God has His people standing as a beacon of hope and agents of love and kindness at this time. It’s time for the Church to shine even brighter. In our church, we’ve caught this phrase: “Church isn’t closed; the way we meet has changed”. The Church has always been His people. Whilst we may not be able to gather in buildings, we can gather in unity; and with wisdom and faith.

With that in mind, we have some timely resource to encourage you and bless you.

Miracles of Jesus

When Chris begins to believe that Miraculo The Miracle Maker magician possesses real powers, Superbook whisks the kids off to historical Galilee where Jesus is performing true miracles like healing a cripple, calming a storm on the sea, and banishing demons from a possessed man. During the course of their miraculous adventure, Chris comes to understand the power to perform miracles comes only from God. Mark 2

John the Baptist

At home, Chris has to choose between playing stolen games or deleting them. Superbook sends Joy, Chris, and Gizmo to a time when John the Baptizer chooses to live truthfully and point others to Jesus. This experience encourages Chris when he returns to face Sam. Luke 1:17

Jonah

Joy witnesses Sharon Myers stealing a bike and reports it to the principal. To Joy’s surprise, Principal Travis offers Sharon mercy instead of demanding justice. As Joy questions why Sharon shouldn’t be punished, Superbook transports her, Chris, and Gizmo to meet up with a prophet named Jonah. Jonah is running away from God because he doesn’t think the people of Nineveh deserve God’s mercy. Through Jonah’s experiences, Joy realizes that mercy is a great gift to give as well as to receive.

Joseph and Pharaoh’s Dream

Superbook transports Chris back to ancient Egypt. Chris, Gizmo, and Joy travel with Joseph through several trials and triumphs. In all of their journeys, Joseph continues to trust in God. After witnessing God take Joseph from the pit to the palace, Chris realizes the value of trusting in God’s plans. Genesis 37
